Rachel Kolisi, the estranged wife of Springboks captain Siya Kolisi, reflected on the second academic term as the June to July school holidays have begun, via an Instagram post on Friday 25 June.

RACHEL KOLISI REFLECTS ON SECOND SCHOOL TERM

Author and director Rachel Kolisi took to Instagram to reflect on the end of term two as her two children – Nicholas (11) and Keziah (9) go on holiday. Rachel welcomed Nicholas and Siya with estranged husband, Springboks captain Siya Kolisi. She said she was proud in the caption of the post. Take a look…

“We made it through term two, and half way through the year! 😅. Proud of us. ♥️,” she wrote on Instagram.

Siya and Rachel are going through a divorce. The former married couple announced their split via a joint statement in October 2024, after eight years of marriage. Siya and Rachel also legally adopted his younger siblings Liyema and Liphelo in 2014. Siya shares a mother with his two siblings, who had sadly passed away. Rachel helped raise Liyema and Liphelo as her own children and still has a close bond with them.

SIYA TO MOVE BACK TO CAPE TOWN

Rachel lives in Cape Town with Nicholas and Keziah while Siya has been based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal as he plays for The Sharks. However, he is set to leave The Sharks and rejoin The Stormers and relocate to the Western Cape at the end of the season in July. This decision was based on being closer to his children.

“While I had hoped to complete my career at the Sharks, I have to be there for my family who were unable to relocate to Durban. This decision wasn’t easy, but it is about being closer to my kids. I leave with nothing but respect for The Sharks and real belief in where this team is heading,” he said in a statement.
