Reality star and business woman Zarinah Hassan, popularly known as “Zari the Boss Lady”, announced that she and her husband Shakib Cham Lutaaya have split.

ZARI HASSAN AND HUSBAND SPLIT

Businesswoman and reality star Zari Hassan announced that she and her husband Shakib Cham Lutaaya have split. The pair were together for five years. Zari and Shakib made their relationship public in May 2022. The pair tied the knot in a private Islamic nikah ceremony in Pretoria in April 2023 before celebrating with a white wedding later that year.

“Five years later, after much thought and reflection, we believe it is best for us to part ways due to irreconcilable differences. While this decision was not an easy one, we feel it is the right one for both of us,” she wrote in a statement on her Instagram story.

“We appreciate the time we shared, the memories we created and the support we gave each other. There is no anger or resentment; sometimes two people simply grow in different directions,” she wrote.

THE PAIR TO REMAIN FRIENDS

“We value each other and remain friends with mutual respect and understanding. We sincerely wish each other happiness, success and all the best for the future,” she continued.

The pair were expecting a child together but Zari had miscarried.

“It’s true she had a miscarriage, as she reported earlier. It happened, but I am not in a position to discuss that at this time. She will do so at the right time when she feels it’s right,” Shakib reportedly said at the time.

Zari is a mom of five children from two different fathers. She has three sons with her first husband Ugandan businessman Ivan Ssemwanga – Pinto Ssemwanga, Raphael Ssemwanga and Lil Quincy. Ssemwanga passed away in 2017.

The reality star also has two children with ex Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz – Latiffah Dangote and Prince Riaz Dangote.
