When and where to experience the Cape Town Funny Festival

The Funny Festival opened on 28 May and will run until 21 June at the Baxter Theatre.

This year’s edition features some of South Africa’s favourite comics, international variety acts, and local performers such as Emo Adams, Sean D, and their Funny Festival band.

The festival is renowned for its clever and diverse humour and offers a welcome escape from the cold and the routine.

Attendees can expect a variety of comedy styles, from stand-up and improv to sketch, ensuring there is something to delight every sense of humour.

EWN spoke to Jason Goliath about what it is about the Festival that has kept audiences coming back. He said, “There’s something about this show where it’s not just about funny but about the arts, and funny meeting the arts in the most spectacular way.”
