Stogie T wins Best Hip Hop at MMA26

Stogie T wins big at the Metro FM Music Awards 2026, as he walked home winning the Best Hip Hop category.

The rapper’s collaboration with Nasty C, A-Reece and Maggz Four Horsemen won big on Saturday night at the Durban International Convention Centre.

The track, lifted from Stogie T’s 2025 project Anomy, stood out as a deliberate and powerful collaboration that brought together four distinct voices in South African hip hop.

As the winner was announced, the atmosphere in the venue shifted instantly.

The crowd reacted with loud cheers before falling into a moment of stunned appreciation, as the weight of the win settled in.

Stogie T, visibly emotional on stage, received the award amid sustained applause from the audience.

Taking to social media, he expressed excitement and gratitude.

The category itself featured strong contenders including K.O, Cassper Nyovest, Big Zulu, Emtee, Yanga Chief, Makwa and Kwesta, making the win even more significant in a highly competitive field.
