Cassper Nyovest criticises podcast culture

Cassper Nyovest has shared his unfiltered thoughts on the growing podcast space, and he didn’t hold back.

With podcasts continuing to dominate the media landscape across various niches, the rapper was recently asked to weigh in on the trend.

His response was blunt and direct.

“I think there’s too many unskilled people on camera,” he said.

According to Cassper, several podcast hosts lack the talent and broadcasting skills needed to keep audiences engaged, which often leads to controversial tactics.

“Because they don’t have ways to keep people entertained, they start saying things like mean sh!t about people so they get views,” he added.

Despite his criticism, Cassper made it clear that not all podcasts fall into that category.

He singled out Moozlie and Scoop Makhathini for praise, applauding their new podcast for taking a different approach.

He noted that he was impressed by how the duo managed to create engaging content without targeting or speaking negatively about others, highlighting their broadcasting talent.

Cassper also expressed concern that the current podcast wave is overshadowing individuals who are genuinely skilled in the craft, suggesting that the space is becoming diluted.

He concluded by admitting that he doesn’t personally follow podcasts, as he doesn’t see himself as part of the target audience.
