Media personality Londiwe Siphiwokuhle Zulu, who is popularly known as Londie London, revealed what may have answered a burning question to some regarding her acting career.

Londie London, who is renowned for songs including You Were Mine, Ma Nonko and Nomakanjani among others, also had a stint on The Real Housewives of Durban and The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girl’s Trip South Africa. Recently, she unpacked her reasons behind leaving the acting industry.

Sitting with her co-hosts Shamiso Mosaka and Phil Mphela on Read The Room, which is part of the Podcast and Chill network, the singer discussed what led her to call it quits in acting.

The conversation was prompted by the topic they were discussing of dating an actor and watching them, as your partner, performing an intimate scene.

Londie mentioned that she had to binge watch Fatal Seduction after Thapelo Mokoena had an interview with Thando Thabethe, discussing how intimate scenes are shot.

Alluding to her personal experience, she said she also had to shoot a sex scene for a series she was acting on.

“First of all, I’m not even a professional actress. There was no coach, whatsoever I was just told this is what is gonna happen. There’s 10 people in the room with cameras, you are there in your lingerie; this guy is breathing on you, he is sweating. At some point his d*ck is up, you not even sure what is going on, his toes are curling,” said Londie.

Without revealing the production or series, she highlighted that she had lingerie on and everything just made her uncomfortable, leading to her drawing the line when it comes to acting.
