50 Cent pokes fun at Faizon Love over unpaid child support

Elf actor Faizon Love was released from a Florida jail last Friday after serving a 16-day sentence for contempt of court.

The actor’s trouble stemmed from his failure to make child support payments to an ex.

He said poverty as the reason for not honouring the court order after acting work dried up, saying his Elf royalty cheques are his only source of income, generating $10,000 (R164 093,50) a year, according to fox13news.com.

Love starred in The Big House with Kevin Hart in 2004, a sitcom that lasted only one season.

He also had roles in films such as Couples Retreat with Vince Vaughn and Jason Bateman, Money Talks with Chris Tucker, and 2001’s South African hit film Mr. Bones.

In true 50 Cent fashion, the rapper poked fun at the actor and comedian with an Instagram post of the news broadcast of Love’s court appearance, captioning it: “I hope you find the right role and blow up! Bro Happy Father’s day”.

Why would 50 Cent and Faison Love have annimosity between them?

The animosity may stem from an old video by Love, where he said he doesn’t understand why people think 50 Cent is a tough guy.

“I don’t know why you guys think this guy is so tough… never seen him fight. I’ve never seen him do anything, travels with a bunch of security. Maybe security is tough. I don’t know. All I know, he got shot nine times. Where I’m from, that’s a f%^*g victim.

“… keep talking about 50 money. He ain’t making no money off them television shows, he don’t create them, stupid, he just puts his name on them… He can’t write… I don’t know if he can read. If he can read, he will really impress me. I know he’s not writing no shows. It’s a woman writing those shows. She quit because he was stupid…You guys can live in the imaginary world of 50s, the biggest, toughest fraud ever,” said Love at the time.
