New Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has revealed the club’s stance on Victor Letsoalo and Ashely Du Preez, who are heavily linked with a move to Naturena.
‘10111’ was unveiled as new Amakhosi head coach on Thursday, with the club promoting a coach from within their own ranks for a first time into the permanent role.
Zwane, who will work with Dillon Sheppard as his assistant, confirmed on Thursday that he will sit down with the technical team to discuss signings, exits and staff additions.
Letsoalo and Du Preez are understood to be on the club’s wish-list and Zwane confirmed both players interest the club.
“When you look at Victor, Victor is a very good player, there is no doubt about it,” Zwane told Thabiso Mosia on SAFMSportON.
“He’s been scoring goals left, right and centre, mostly from deadfall situations, from the spot.
“But when you look at him overall, he’s one player that has that tactical flexibility and he’s very good on the ball, he is a team player, he’s not selfish. If he doesn’t score, he also creates.
“It remains to be seen that we might have a player like him but at this moment unfortunately there are many other players that we’re looking at.”
Zwane also discussed Du Preez briefly, with iDiski Times understanding Chiefs are ready to activate the players’ buyout clause and only final details need to be discussed with Stellenbosch FC.
“There is no doubt it [that we’re looking at him], Du Preez has been doing very well and he has the age on his side,” he added.
“He’s another player that hopefully, we might get him.”
