Mamelodi Sundowns captain Themba Zwane has stated that his side want to win all competitions that are competing for this season.
Downs will be competing in six different competitions this campaign after starting the DStv Premiership with two wins to climb to the top.
This weekend they have a MTN8 clash against former co-coach Steve Komphela’s Moroka Swallows. Later in the year there’s a new competition in the Carling Knockout Cup, which consists of 16 DStv Premiership sides.
There’re also the two big ones, which will require them to do it on the continent in the CAF Champions League and the newly-formed CAF Super League, and there is also the Nedbank Cup.
Mshishi stated that they want to go for a clean sweep this season.
“We know it’s all about one game at a time but us as guys we are sitting in the changing room, we know our goals we just want to win all the trophies that we are competing for,” Zwane told the media.
“Because we have enough players, enough quality that we can do it, why not? We just have to put more effort.
“We know that it’s not gonna be easy but if we can put more effort the quality is there.”
