Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has insisted he won’t complain about the pressure from the club’s fans and he’s not worried about the club’s current log position.
The Amakhosi are currently only sitting in 14th place on the log after collecting just two wins of their opening seven DStv Premiership games.
Some Chiefs fans have already turned on the new head coach, who signed a three-year contract ahead of the 2022/23 season, but Zwane insisted pressure is part of the game.
“As the results have been fluctuating and we thought by now we’d be in a better position,” he told reporters.
“Unfortunately in terms of scoring, the goalscoring opportunities that we create we couldn’t get it right, but as we always say we’re a work in progress.

“When it comes to pressure, pressure is part of this game and we can’t complain about that. People want to see us winning and people also want to win games.
“As time goes on, I believe everyone will be happy because we’ll start getting the results.”
When asked bout comparisons with defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns, Zwane insisted the Glamour Boys are only looking at themselves.
“By the time we get to that international break, we’ll get to a better position and also it’s not something that worries me. When you look at the log right now, you can win two games and then you’re back there,” he explained.
“We have a game in hand but I don’t obviously want to dwell on that. We run our own race, we’re focussing on ourselves. We don’t want to rush into things because we are more worried about what we’re not doing right right now.
“We want to look at things we are doing right to move and improve and be better. To focus moire on the positives because right now the positives are better than the negatives.
“As you can see, the more we play games we make less mistakes. Those [we do] are costly but there will be times when mistakes are there but are not costly anymore, but instead you’re grinding the results.
“It’s normal from our fans, they would like to win. We are with them and we feel the same pain and we hope, actually we know we’re going to turn the corner.”
Zwane and his troops will be looking to get back to winning ways on Saturday when they host SuperSport United in the DStv Premiership at FNB Stadium (20h00).
