Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane says people have not yet seen the real Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, who wowed Amakhosi fans with a tidy display in the win over Orlando Pirates last month.
Mshini, as he’s known, was a surprise selection in the starting XI by Zwane in the Soweto Derby against Pirates on 29 October at the packed FNB Stadium.
It was Ngcobo’s first start since August and second start this season, but he did not look out of place. He complimented Njabulo Blom and Yusuf Maart well in the middle, where they dominated the game.
Following that performance in the Derby as Chiefs won their fourth match against Pirates in the row, Mshini has been selected in Chiefs’ Carling Black Label Cup tarting XI that will face Pirates in the second semi-final at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
All eyes will be on Ngcobo to keep things ticking for Chiefs in the middle and Zwane has insisted we are yet to see the best of the Amakhosi talent.
“We know Mshini is a special talent, there is no doubt about it,” said Zwane.

“Yes, one thing for sure, a fully fit Mshini without any off-the-field challenges like any other individual, he will always give you something special.
“I think people haven’t seen him yet, especially in the first team because he’s a special talent. I can tell you now, once he gets to the level where we expect him to be, you will see that he’s a special player for us.
“There’s no doubt about that, and we will always try to help him to reach his full potential as an individual.”
However, it has been a difficult period for the 22-year-old this season after he lost his father a couple of months ago, representing a tough time in his career emotionally.
“Yes, he has had challenges here and there – where he got into the situation to lose his father and except for that, he was at some point low in confidence and injuries and there and there,” said Zwane on the player he coached in the club’s juniors.
