Mamelodi Sundowns forward Themba Zwane has named Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and two of his Masandawana teammates as players he feels could take Bafana Bafana to another level.

The 33-year-old received his first call-up under Hugo Broos in September and immediately proved his class with a brace against Sierre Leone.

Zwane has featured in three of the four Bafana games since, with Broos’ men picking up three wins and a draw.

During the launch of this year’s Philly’s Games, which will kick off on 19 December, Zwane was asked whether South Africa has future prospects who can carry Bafana Bafana.

“Definitely we do have [those] players,” he said.

“Players like Mkhulise, players like Neo Maema and even this young boy from Kaizer Chiefs. The one that is wearing No.12 [Nkosingiphile Ngcobo]. Top player.

“I believe that we have those kind of players who can take the national team to another level.”

Ngcobo, 23, and Maema, 27, are yet to make his Bafana Bafana debut, while 26-year-old Mkhulise has made six appearances – five of them at last year’s COSAFA Cup and the other in Broos’ first game in charge, a 3-2 win over Uganda.
