Arthur Zwane has confirmed that Itumeleng Khune will return to his starting XI after Brandon Petersen picked up a suspension ahead of Monday’s match against Swallows.

Amakhosi are back in action after their 1-0 win against Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Thursday.

This time, they will have to face struggling Swallows, who picked up an important 1-0 win themselves on Thursday, beating bottom-placed Maritzburg United to gain some breathing space in the relegation race.

Ahead of the match, Zwane confirmed that he doesn’t want to change his line-up too much, but has to make one enforced change, with Petersen being suspended.

“After playing the game against Chippa United we only had one day to prepare the team,” he told the club’s media department.

“We are missing Brandon because of suspension and we are missing other players because of injuries, such as Dove, and Keagan is going to be out for the rest of the season. We have other players fighting their way back to full fitness.

“In terms of preparation we had more or less a day to think about Swallows. We will approach the game in the same way as we have before.

“We will bring in Itu and will try to start with more or less the same team that started against Chippa, because we did not have time to prepare.

“We are playing games back-to-back and once you’re in that situation you don’t want to make too many changes, except for enforced changes, and that’s how we’ve prepared the team.”

The game at Peter Mokaba Stadium will kick off at 15:00.
