Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has backed Keagan Dolly to find his form, after mixed performances from the Bafana Bafana player this season.
Dolly hasn’t been in the best of form even though he scored the equaliser against TS Galaxy on Wednesday in a 2-2 draw.
The 29-year-old’s set pieces have been crucial for Amakhosi this season, even scoring an important equaliser again AmaZulu FC in the MTN8 first-leg semi-final. Zwane mentioned that every player has that period of being off rhythm.
“A dip in form, it happens to the best players in the world, any player can lose form but also it depends on how he recovers, in terms of professionalism, how he does things on and off the field,” Zwane said.
Dolly so slowly picking up, especially when the club needs him the most. He has scored four goals in all competitions this season and assisted on one occasion. The former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker joined Chiefs at the beginning of last season and he is yet to win a trophy. Amakhosi are aiming to reach the final of MTN8 but need to beat AmaZulu on Sunday afternoon.
“I have no doubt Keagan is one of those players who takes football very very seriously,” Zwane added.
“So other than maybe losing his form, there’s been no other worries about him and that is why you can see him now – he’s regaining his form and doing well for the key club.”
