Zulu Mkhathini’s sister reflects on his inspiring career journey

If there were award shows that celebrated unity and love among siblings, Zulu Mkhathini and his sister Ntombi Ndlovu (formerly Mkhathini) would have undoubtedly scooped a few of those gongs by now.

The Mkhathini siblings, who are from Ntuzuma in KwaZulu-Natal, are total family goals, always showing love and admiration for each other.

Once again, their strong bond was on full display during a car racing family outing in Johannesburg on Tuesday, 24 March.

Ntombi, along with her husband and their two sons, flew to Jozi to visit Zulu and enjoyed some quality family time.

Based on the content Ntombi shared on Instagram, it was clear as day that the family had an epic experience.

NTOMBI’S LOVELY MESSAGE DEDICATED TO HER BROTHER

Ntombi was in big sister mode when she also observed a moment to celebrate her younger brother’s journey as a multi-faceted creative.

Zulu Mkhathini is truly a man with an array of talents to dabble in. Recently, he was selected alongside other creatives for an ad promoting the Netflix drama series Peaky Blinders.

He hosted the Maison Martell Cultural Residency event that took place in Johannesburg on 24 March, and he also secured a lucrative car deal with Chery in February 2026.

The family also hung out in the new Chery car while Zulu, who used to date Ayanda Thabethe, showed them some cool features, which the nephews really totally loved.

Ntombi penned the following caption to honour and celebrate her resilient and talented brother:

“If do what you love had a face, it’d be yours, bro. I’ve watched you do that since we were kids, and it makes me the happiest big sis,” began Ntombi.

“So, here’s to coffee, chats & the Chery on top because bro bro said,” Sistaz, come take a ride with the new Chery national ambassador,” concluded Ntombi.

THE STRONG MKHATHINI FAMILY VALUES AND DYNAMICS

Without a doubt, the parents of Ntombi and Zulu did a brilliant job at fostering strong family ties, since the Mkhathini family remains a tight unit.

Even though the patriarch of the family has passed away, their mother continues to anchor and lead the family.

Regarding the impact of their mother, Zulu has her name Nokuthula tattooed on his spine, symbolising her role as the backbone of the family.

ZULU MKHATHINI: THE LOVING FAMILY MAN

When he isn’t taking up space in various creative fields, Zulu is also a doting and present uncle to his sister’s three children: Alondwe, Melokuhle, and Misu.

It’s always a pleasant sight to watch the media personality hanging out with his nephews, and it is easy to tell that they enjoy each other’s company.
