Zkhiphani Chief Editor Mandisa Ntsinde passes away

Zkhiphani and FreshAF SA Chief Editor Mandisa Ntsinde has passed away.

Zkhiphani announced Mandisa’s passing through an official statement this morning.

“It is with great sadness and our deepest regret that we announce the untimely death of our beloved Chief Editor, Mandisa Ntsinde.”

Mandisa Ntsinde passed away on Monday 14 November at home peacefully after a long, yet heroic battle with cancer.

The online publication describes her as a “path-breaking journalist, who added a new dimension to culture and lifestyle journalism.”

Mandisa Ntsinde was appointed editor of Zkhiphani at the beginning of this year but had to step down for a while due to health concerns.

Ntsinde was also named one of Mail & Guardian’s 200 Young South Africans in 2021.

The staff at FreshAF and Zkhiphani consider themselves lucky to have come to know Mandisa

“Back when we were just beginning to navigate the media world, she strived in making sure that not only do we grow as a business, but individually as well.”
