Speed merchant Talent Chawapiwa has emerged as one of the most sought-after players in Zimbabwe ahead of the 2023 season.
The 30-year-old has been without a club since February 2022, when he was released by Sekhukune United.
At some point this season, Chawapiwa trained with Motsepe Foundation Championship Platinum City Rovers, but nothing materialised.
The former AmaZulu left winger, Chawapiwa is in Zimbabwe at the moment, hoping to restart his career in the league helped him rise to stardom.
And Harare giants Dynamos have already approached the player’s representatives for his services.
After playing bridesmaids to Norman Mapeza’s FC Platinum last season, Dynamos, under new coach Herbert Maruwa is aiming to assemble a team that is strong enough to end FC Platinum’s stranglehold.
TALENT CHAWAPIWA IN-DEMAND
Former AmaZulu gaffer Joey Antipas is understood to be angling to lure the talented winger to Chicken Inn FC.
Newly promoted side Simba Bhora is also believed to be in talks with the player.
The new outfit, Simba Bhora, has been flexing financial muscles to strengthen the team ahead of their maiden season in the elite league.
Chawapihwa will hope to reinvent himself following a massive nosedive in his career.
He last sparked when he was in the books of Baroka during the 2017/18 season before a decent stint at AmaZulu, where he spent two seasons before joining Sekhukune United.
At Sekhukune, he turned out to be a pale shadow of himself before being offloaded in February along with his compatriots Blessing Sarupinda and Charlton Mashumba.
In Zimbabwe, he remains revered following plausible performances with the senior national team, where he was a regular feature during the Sunday Chawapiwa era as head coach.
He earned 18 national team caps, with three goals to his name.
He was also a top performer in the local league when he played for the four-time champions FC Platinum, Harare City and ZPC Kariba.
