Amapiano hitmaker Zee Nxumalo has set social media buzzing after sharing an unapologetically lavish birthday wish list.

The Mama singer took to Facebook ahead of her birthday on Tuesday, 6 January, revealing that she is no longer interested in receiving perfumes and would rather be spoiled with high-end designer items, tech gadgets or even cash.

Her post quickly made its way to X, where it sparked widespread discussion and mixed reactions.

In the post, Nxumalo made it clear that luxury was the theme of the year.

“My birthday is in two days. [My] wishlist is a Dior bag/Dior sandals, or any Dior item. Buy me shares at JSE. A 40-inch wig (premium quality), maybe iPhone 17 Pro Max. I have enough perfume, I do not need them,” she wrote.

The list didn’t stop there; the singer also asked for Burberry swimwear, a Mahele for her bus, and even hinted at bigger gifts, adding, “Pay registration for one of my fans. A 45 AMG Sport [car]. 300K hard-core cash. Or just buy me a Zee Nxumalo 2 Piece from The Fix. I don’t have it. It’s always sold out.”

While some fans admired her confidence and ambition, others, particularly male users were less impressed, accusing the star of having unrealistic standards.

One critic commented, “She thinks she is Beyoncé, this one. She is just a good singer. Just beauty without depth!” Another questioned her finances, asking, “Doesn’t she get royalties and booking fees?”

Still, not everyone was bothered by the list. Some users appeared unfazed by the extravagance, with one fan reacting, “And she will get everything ke sana.”

At just 23, Nxumalo has plenty to celebrate.

The rising star has enjoyed a remarkable run on the Mzansi music scene, dominating charts and playlists with hits such as Ngisakuthanda.

In December 2025, she was named the most-streamed artist in South Africa, surpassing 100 million streams, a milestone that has cemented her status as one of the country’s most successful young musicians.
