‘Youngins’ actress Londiwe Nene’s cause of death revealed

As friends, fans, and the entertainment industry continue to mourn ‘Youngins‘ actress Londiwe Nene, more details surrounding the cause of her death have emerged.

Her family released a statement on Monday, 13 October, announcing her sudden and shocking passing.

NEW DETAILS EMERGE SURROUNDING THE PASSING OF LONDIWE NENE

According to Sunday World, her death is reportedly linked to suspected poisoning. Her sister, Lethukuthula Nene, told the publication that the family is devastated by the actress’s untimely passing.

She revealed that Londiwe drank poison, though authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding her tragic death.

“She drank poison. That is what it seems like. But we will get all the details on time from professionals. But it was poison; she drank poison,” she told the publication.

Lethukuthula said that Londiwe had not displayed any signs of distress or depression before the tragic incident occurred.

“We really don’t know why she did this. Everything was okay – well, we thought.”

THE NENE FAMILY ANNOUNCES HER PASSING

In a statement, the Nene family announced on Monday that Londiwe passed away on Saturday, 11 October.

The Moja Love presenter and Youngins star was enjoying a rapidly rising career in the entertainment industry.

She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Aunt Thuli on Showmax’s popular teen drama series Youngins.

Londiwe also showcased her talent in other hit productions, including Outlaws and Adulting.

Announcing her passing, the family said, “It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we confirm the passing of Londiwe Faith Nene. She passed away on Saturday, 11 October 2025. As a family, we are deeply heartbroken by this loss and kindly ask for privacy as we navigate through this time of sorrow.

“Your understanding, compassion and prayers mean a great deal to us as we find strength and comfort in one another,” the statement concludes.
