In the midst of Tebogo G Mashego taking to social media to reveal that he has not received any royalties for Biri Marung, Young Stunna has spoken out in DJ Maphorisa’s defence by highlighting his impact on the amapiano industry.

23-year-old upcoming artist Tebogo Mashego has quickly become social media’s main character after his Instagram live session, where he revealed that he was lured to Nigeria for what he thought was a paid gig, only to be left stranded when he did not receive any payment. According to the youngster, this left him unable to purchase a return ticket home.

After being privy to Tebogo’s situation, figures such as DJ Karri rallied together to ensure that the youngster made it home safely by booking him his return ticket. Soon after, the youngster once again took to his social media to further blast the Manzi Nte hitmaker, and went to the extent of hurling insults at him.

Coming to Maphorisa’s defence, Young Stunna also took to his social media to highlight the producer’s impact, giving him credit as the catalyst for his now successful career. Furthermore, the Adiwele singer condemned younger amapiano artists for their sense of entitlement. He has called on them to show more respect to industry veterans.
