Young Stunna cancels gigs due to knee injury

Multi-award-winning musician Sandile Msimango, popularly known as Young Stunna, recently announced that he has cancelled his remaining gigs for December.

This comes after he sustained a knee injury, prompting him to rest and seek medical attention. Young Stunna took to his social media pages to share the unfortunate incident, accompanied by pictures of his swollen knee and crutches that assist him to walk.

In a statement issued, the Adiwele hitmaker  confirmed that the injury occurred in East London and was the result of what he described as unprofessional and negligent conduct by a local promoter.

Young Stunna sustained his injury on December 15, leading him to cancel gigs that were scheduled for December 16.

“To my beloved fans, due to an incident resulting from unprofessional and negligent conduct by an East London promoter on December 15, 2025, I sustained an injury to my knee and am currently seeking medical attention,” the statement read.

The gigs included appearances at Lilian Ngoyi Stadium in Secunda, Vosloorus Stadium, Hurricane Lifestyle in Katlehong, KwaLichaba Soweto, and Kroonpark Holiday Resort in Kroonstad, among others.

Young Stunna apologised to organisers, sponsors, and fans affected by the cancellations.

“I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to event organisers, their sponsors, and most importantly, my supporters. Your understanding and continued support (are) greatly appreciated,” he said.

He also shared that his team is working to secure alternative dates for the affected shows.

“My team is currently working diligently to secure alternative dates for the affected performances, and I look forward to making it up to you very soon. Thank you for your patience, love, and unwavering support,” he added.
