‘You don’t know what I’m going through’

Rapper Cassper Nyovest is on a mission to ensure that he gets his body into the best shape possible as he prepares for his upcoming concert at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein.

The Doc Shebeleza rapper has become the subject of online criticism because of his recent weight gain which many have claimed was evident during his Scorpion Kings guest performance at Loftus Versveld last month.

In a recent Instagram post, the Move For Me hitmaker shared a video revealing that he read many of the comments made on digital platforms, while adding that he would be getting back into an exercise routine.

“We are 3 months away from ‘Fill Up’ and I have officially started doing cardio week. This time it is a bit more fun, because I am playing tennis, next week I will be starting weight training”.

In addressing the body shaming posts, he said, “They hurt my feelings a little bit, but sometimes that’s what you need, right? A little push.”

“You don’t even know what I’m going through. I’m always the underdog, trying to prove them wrong, change the narrative, and show that Mufasa is still the king.”

The rapper further added that while this is simply a case of the public projecting their own insecurities, he is willing to take the lemons and turn them into lemonade.

He later encouraged fans to purchase tickets to attend the upcoming December concert.
