Penn Badgley, star of the popular series You, and his wife, Domino Kirke, have joyfully announced the arrival of their identical twin boys.
The couple, who first shared the news of their twin pregnancy back in February, revealed the births in a heartfelt Instagram video on 3 September.
PENN BADGLEY’S DOUBLE JOY
Badgley, 38, gently showed tiny baby feet while announcing a live event for his upcoming book Crushmore, according to People.
“There are tiny baby feet right there. I don’t want to wake them up,” he whispered in the clip.
Penn Badgley co-wrote the book with his Podcrushed podcast cohosts Nava Kavelin and Sophie Ansari. The live event is scheduled for 14 October in New York City.
The twins now join their older brother, a four-year-old, as well as Domino Kirke’s 16-year-old son, Cassius, from a previous relationship.
THE PRESSURES OF RAISING BOYS
Badgley spoke openly about the joy and pressure of raising boys. “They’re identical boys, so now we have four boys. The world needs more good men, so pressure’s on us to raise them well,” he said.
Reflecting on fatherhood, Badgley joked about his patience. “My dad’s superpower is patience, until I’ve lost it. Then, I’m just as bad as anyone else,” he admitted.
During a May interview with Jimmy Fallon, Penn Badgley admitted he was still getting used to the idea of twins. “It’s thrilling. Every sonogram feels so good,” he said. “They’re in there like it’s a hot tub.”
