Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates have made several signings ahead of the 2022/23 season. However, the two Soweto giants could still do with a prolific goal scorer up front.
The two crosstown rivals are among numerous clubs who have enquired about Young Africans striker Fiston Mayele, who has had a memorable season for the Tanzanian club.
The 28-year-old tops the charts after scoring 16 goals in the league this season and is in demand, including from ‘big’ South African clubs.
However, the chairman of Yanga’s Signing Committee, Engineer [Eng.] Hersi Ally Said has affirmed that he is not for sale.
“We have received enquiries from the Middle East, North Africa and South Africa. But he’s not for sale, we’re going to Champions League, and we will do everything to keep our players,” Eng. Said told FARPost.
