Yanga Accept Bid For Mayele

Young Africans SC have accepted a bid from Egyptian Premier League side Pyramids FC for prolific striker Fiston Kalala Mayele.

Mayele has been subject of interest from across Africa’s elite after becoming one of the most prolific goalscorers across the continent.

From Raja CA, Wydad AC, Esperance and Zamalek – but it appears the Egyptian side have won the race as they look to bolster their attack for their maiden CAF Champions League campaign next season.

iDiski Times understands that a total package of around $1.5-million (R27 million) for transfer fee and potential wages over a three-year contract has been agreed and the move will be finalised this week, subject to a routine medical check in Cairo.

Yanga held an agreement of a sell-on clause with AS Vita, so the final transfer fee, said to be $800,000 (R14 million) with add-ons that could reach up to $1-million (R18 million) – will see the Linafoot side pocket a healthy percentage.

The 29-year old striker scored 32 goals in 38 games for Yanga last season across all competitions.
