Fans continue to honour late singer Yallunder six months after her passing

The late songbird Yolanda “Yallunder” Nyembezi may be gone, but her presence is still felt deeply by fans who continue to celebrate her music and legacy months after her untimely death.

Yallunder passed away on 13 March 2025, leaving South Africa in shock and grief.

Known for her angelic voice and collaborations with artists like Sjava and Kelvin Momo, the singer captured hearts between 2018 and 2020 through her soul-stirring covers and later as a signee of Sjava’s label, 1020 Cartel.

Despite releasing only two projects, her talent made an unforgettable mark on the local music scene.

Six months after her passing, fans are keeping her memory alive.

A social media user, PianoConnectSA, recently resurfaced a video of Yallunder passionately performing her verse on Uku Khanya, her collaboration with Kelvin Momo, Umthakathi Kush, and Stixx.

The clip stirred emotions all over again, with many struggling to accept her absence.

“Yoh, I still can’t believe it,” wrote queenn__lee.

Another fan, supernova_kr, reflected: “That’s one of my fave Yallunder tracks, may she continue to rest peacefully.”

Massive32760561 added: “At that moment am listening to Uku Khanya by Kelvin Momo and Yallunder.”

Meanwhile, xdarkskintashx admitted: “Still can’t believe she’s gone.”
