A woman who lay dead in her flat in the UK for almost 3 years before her body was discovered has been buried in her hometown in the Eastern Cape Province.

A 61-year-old South African woman lay dead in her London flat for more than TWO years before police discovered her skeletal remains. Sheila Seleoane’s body was found this year despite having died in 2019.

According to a report by the Daily Mail UK, the woman identified as Sheila Seleoane died in 2019 but was only found in 2022.

Police made the gruesome discovery in February 2022. Sheila was found propped on the sofa and apparently flanked by deflated party balloons (the presence of which is yet another mystery).

The report furthermore stated that neighbours have been complaining of a smell coming from Sheila’s flat for the past two years but nothing was done. UK Police confirmed that Sheila died of natural causes, and they are not treating her death as suspicious.
