Woman arrested over alleged rape of teenage boy

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with the rape of a 13-year-old boy in the Musina area of Limpopo, South Africa. The alleged incident occurred on Friday at a local church shelter, leading to the suspect’s swift apprehension by police.

The woman appeared before the Musina Magistrate’s Court on a charge of rape. The case was postponed until Tuesday, August 26, 2025, to allow for profiling and further investigation.

Police detectives from the Musina Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit arrested the suspect on the same day the alleged crime was committed.

The assault reportedly took place at approximately 3:00 pm at a shelter in the Musina policing area. According to reports, a resident of the shelter witnessed the incident while passing by and immediately informed the caretaker.

The caretaker subsequently notified the police, who opened a case of rape and arrested the woman. The police have confirmed that their investigation into the matter is continuing.
