Wireless Festival has announced that it has cancelled its July festival due to the UK Home Office’s banning of its headliner’s entry into the country.
West was supposed to headline the festival over all three days, scheduled for July 10 to 12 at Finsbury Park in London.
But his “antisemitic, racist, and pro-Nazi comments” in recent years have caused offense in the Jewish and wider communities.
The festival posted a message on their social media: “As a result of the Home Office banning YE from entering the United Kingdom, Wireless Festival has been forced to cancel. All ticket holders will receive an automatic full refund.”
According to Variety Magazine, Wireless Festival further said that: “As with every Wireless Festival, multiple stakeholders were consulted in advance of booking Ye and no concerns were highlighted at the time.”
“Antisemitism in all its forms is abhorrent, and we recognise the real and personal impact these issues have had. As Ye said today, he acknowledges that words alone are not enough, and in spite of this still hopes to be given the opportunity to begin a conversation with the Jewish community in the UK.”

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer has also added his voice.
He released this short statement on social media: “Kanye West should never have been invited to headline Wireless. This government stands firmly with the Jewish community, and we will not stop in our fight to confront and defeat the poison of antisemitism. We will always take the action necessary to protect the public and uphold our values.”
Kanye West’s comeback performance
After five years of silence, Kanye West showed up and showed out in Los Angeles, when he put on a show that received much critical acclaim.
