Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi says they’re looking forward to facing a TS Galaxy side who play their type of football.
Galaxy are one of the most improved sides since the league resumed last month and are enjoying a three-match unbeaten run under head coach Sead Ramovic.
Currently, in his first head coach role, the Bosnian has won five, drawn three and lost six games since succeeding Owen da Gama in the hotseat.
However, their style of play has earned plaudits in recent weeks whichMngqithi eluded to ahead of resuming their league campaign after 12 days in Egypt for the CAF Champions League.
“One must be honest with you that TS Galaxy has improved in leaps and bounds, they play some enterprising football, we were fortunate to play the friendly during the mid-season preparation just to see what they offer,” he said.
“They’ve done very well in the previous matches we’ve seen, even in the Nedbank Cup, so we’re looking at it very closely but we believe we have the capacity to unsettle them – but we know very well we’re not going to pushovers.
“We’re playing a team that’s well trained and a team that plays very interesting football, personally I’m looking forward to a very good game of football because I know the styles, there won’t be too much contrast in how we play and how they play.”
Sundowns face the relegation-threatened outfit at Mbombela Stadium on Wednesday evening (19h30).
