Weight gain by Qwabe twins got Mzansi talking (SEE PIC)

The Viggy and Virginia, also known as the Qwabe Twins, were the breakout stars of Idols SA and have since achieved success in the music business. They left the singing competition in 2019.

The twins were taken under the wing of Durban’s local music maestro and owner of the Afrotainment record label, Mthokozisi Khathi, well known as DJ Tira.

Following their signing with the label, the gifted Qwabe Twins worked with Dj Tira to produce hit after hit, blending soulful music with house beats with ease.

The soft life soon became a part of their way of life as they began to prosper, from purchasing a luxurious car to having an abundance of options in many areas of the industry.

But the Qwabe Twins’ most recent performance on stage raised a couple of eyebrows due to their weight gain.

The stylish twins were part of the Fact Durban Rocks massive lineup at the Durban July this past weekend but the mini bulges got fans concerned as they felt the duo had let themselves go a bit too much.

Mphako Mkhwanazi said, “They (the twins) are now developing big bellies”.

Indlovikazi Hlokohloko said, “I’m shocked by how they’ve picked up so much weight”.

Suwe Shete defended the twins by saying, “yes girls you don’t owe anyone flat stomachs”.

Thuthukile Mchunu said, “It’s such a beautiful feeling to be successful and eat your hard-earned money even if you gain weight”.
