IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:
A. A Yellow level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms with possible damaging winds, heavy downpours and large amounts of small hail is expected over the North West province, except the extreme west, and in places over the Free State but only with strong, gusty winds and heavy downpours over Gauteng, south-western Limpopo and the Highveld of Mpumalanga.
FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the extreme northern parts of the Northern Cape and the western parts of the North West province.

Gauteng
Temperature: Cloudy and cool with scattered showers and thundershowers from late afternoon.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low
Mpumalanga
Temperature: Morning drizzle and fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers, except in the Lowveld where it will be warm.
Limpopo
Temperature: Morning drizzle and fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers, except in the Lowveld.
North West
Temperature: Partly cloudy, windy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered over the central and eastern parts.
Free State
Temperature: Morning fog patches in the extreme east, otherwise partly cloudy to cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the south-west.
Northern Cape
Temperature: Cloudy along the coast at first where it will become fine, otherwise partly cloudy, windy and cool to warm, with isolated thundershowers over the eastern parts but scattered in the north-east.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate northerly, becoming south-westerly in the afternoon.
Western Cape
Temperature: Cloudy along the west coast at first, otherwise fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy along the south coast by the afternoon.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly to south-easterly but light northerly along the west coast at first where it will become south-westerly.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
Eastern Cape
The Western half: Cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain along the coast and adjacent interior, otherwise partly cloudy.
The Western half – The wind along the coast will be light north-easterly, becoming fresh to strong easterly by the afternoon.
The Eastern half: Cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain over the eastern and southern parts, but scattered along the coast and adjacent interior. It will be partly cloudy in the north.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light south-westerly, becoming moderate to fresh easterly in the afternoon.
KwaZulu-Natal
Temperature: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the west.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly, becoming light to moderate easterly to south-easterly from the afternoon.
