In a recent heartwarming moment, Kairo Forbes, the beloved daughter of South Africa’s number one female DJ, DJ Zinhle, and the late rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, delighted fans with her visit to the 5FM studios.

This visit was particularly poignant as Kairo recently spent her second Father’s Day without her father, AKA, who tragically lost his life last year. Despite the heartache, Kairo has found solace and support in her stepfather, Bongani “Mörda” Mahosana, who has shown immense love and compassion towards her.
Kairo is not just known for her famous parents. This grade three learner is a budding entrepreneur, co-owning the ERA Kids watch and bracelet brand with her mom.
Additionally, she’s a brand ambassador for major brands like Nedbank and Cotton On. Her accolades include being named the 2023 Social Media Kid Influencer of the Year.
During her visit to 5FM, Kairo charmed the presenters and listeners alike. When the 5 Takeover presenter Joddel Tantij asked her about her ideas, Kairo replied with a confident, “Yeah, I get paid to talk. I kind of talk a lot.”
She then addressed the listeners, saying, “Hey, this is Kairo Forbes coming to you live from Joburg. Today we’re going to be talking about nine is a vibe.” Off-air, Kairo continued to entertain with a playful riddle.
