SPAR Proteas pulled off a stunning comeback to draw 48-48 with hoodoo team New Zealand in the 2023 Netball World Cup on Wednesday.

South Africa found themselves under immense pressure at the end of the third quarter (Q3) as they were trailing New Zealand by 38-34.

However, Norma Plummer’s charges looked fired up in the fourth quarter (Q4) as they pushed New Zealand to the very end.

South Africa scored a stunning equaliser with a last piece of action to make it 48-48 and give themselves a chance to advance to advance to the next round.
