The Free State is preparing to bid a final farewell to a titan of the liberation struggle as the second memorial service for Mosiuoa Lekota convenes at the Bloemfontein City Hall.

The veteran politician and leader of the Congress of the People (COPE), affectionately known as “Terror,” passed away last Wednesday at the age of 77.

This service follows an initial tribute in Johannesburg and is expected to draw a significant gathering of political figures, former United Democratic Front (UDF) colleagues, and community members eager to honor the legacy of a man whose life spanned the frontlines of the anti-apartheid movement to the halls of democratic governance.
