The memorial service for the slain rapper Kiernan AKA Forbes was held on Friday afternoon and the Sandton Convention Center was filled with a lot of painful but sweet memories.

As speakers came through to talk, one, in particular, acknowledge AKA’s love for Nadia Nakai and told her how he saw her.

Yanga Chief, real name Yanga Ntshakaza, came through with his emotional speech which didn’t leave a single eye dry.

“To Nadia, thank you for loving my broer. The first time I asked Kiernan how your relationship was going, he didn’t hesitate to tell me, ‘Brah, this is it for me. Nadia saved my life.’

“I thank you for loving my broer, and bringing him back to us after we thought we lost him the first time, he loved you so much. You thought him to be a better person and he will always be with you.”
