A wandering leopard was spotted in the Roodeplaat Dam Nature Reserve outside Pretoria, and visitors and residents of the surrounding areas are warned to be vigilant.
Officials and stakeholders are currently searching for a leopard within Roodeplaat Dam Nature Reserve.
Plans involve enlisting a wildlife veterinarian to tranquilize and relocate the leopard safely if located.
The Gauteng Department of Agriculture, rural development, and environmental affairs are working to identify the leopard’s origin.
