Meanwhile, Mabuyane has called for calm ahead of the province’s elective conference. Mabuyane says this weekend’s gathering should not be treated as a battlefield.
He is pleading with party members to avoid sending mixed messages to the public.
Mabuyane will be going toe to toe with Babalo Madikizela in a battle over the top spot.
Mabuyane, who is campaigning to retain his position, says he is not in it for the money.
