Pretoria-born DJ and producer Vigro Deep (Kamogelo Phetla) is officially off the market! Over the weekend, the 24-year-old Amapiano sensation tied the knot with his long-time partner, Lilitha Nxadi, in a vibrant traditional ceremony that had fans and friends celebrating their love.
A Celebration Filled with Colour and Music
Social media exploded with photos and videos from the wedding, as guests shared moments of joy, dance, and laughter. Industry stars including Mr JazziQ and vocalist Babalwa M joined the festivities, honouring the couple as they took a major step in their relationship.
In videos circulating online, Vigro Deep and Lilitha were seen performing traditional wedding steps, surrounded by cheering family and friends. Their outfits perfectly blended tradition with contemporary flair: Lilitha stunned in an orange, one-shoulder patterned dress, while Vigro Deep complemented her in a beige traditional shirt and pants, with a cut of orange fabric mirroring the bride’s ensemble.
Keeping Love Private, Sharing Joy Public
The couple has long kept their relationship private, with only a glimpse shared last October after their lobola ceremony photos surfaced online. Their wedding marks the first time fans have seen the duo celebrate together in full public view.
From Hip Hop Dreams to Amapiano Stardom
Vigro Deep’s journey to Amapiano fame began in Pretoria. Initially drawn to hip hop, he switched to Amapiano in December 2018, inspired by the genre’s growing popularity in schools and clubs. His decision paid off, as he quickly rose to prominence, performing his first gig the same month he switched genres.
The DJ and producer has since collaborated with South African heavyweights like Focalistic, Young Stunna, Mr JazziQ, Scotts Maphuma, Xduppy, and Zee Nxumalo. He’s also responsible for hit tracks including “Wishi Wishi” and “Bhampa”, cementing his place in the Amapiano scene.
A Wedding to Remember
Beyond the music and fashion, the wedding was a celebration of love, family, and culture. For Vigro Deep and Lilitha, it was a milestone not just in their personal lives, but in their shared story — one that fans have quietly followed for years.
The union also highlights a growing trend among South African celebrities: blending traditional rituals with modern flair, showing pride in cultural heritage while celebrating life’s milestones in style.
For now, the Amapiano star can enjoy married life and judging by the social media buzz, fans are excited to see what comes next for Vigro Deep, both on and off the dance floor.
