The viewers of Uthando Nes’thembu have expressed their disappointment with the manner in which Human Behaviour Counselor Bab’ Ndabe Myeza conducted his work during an episode that aired on Wednesday, 25 March.
“What body regulates his profession?” and “Bab’ Ndabe doesn’t hold Musa accountable for anything,” are just some comments about him from X.
Some viewers also thought that Musa Mseleku should have chosen a therapist who wasn’t familiar with their family, since Bab’ Ndabe has previously engaged with them, and therefore, he seems lenient in his approach.
VIEWERS UNIMPRESSED WITH BAB’ NDABE FROM THE JUMP
The first time we saw Bab’ Ndabe this season on Uthando Nes’thembu was in episode 12, where he appeared alongside fellow therapist Nontobeko Mjadu.
Musa brought these two experts in to help unpack their issues as a family since he believes that the tensions have become way too deep.
From the very beginning, Bab’ Ndabe rubbed viewers the wrong way because they felt he was not showing any signs of being neutral. It seemed as though Musa had already briefed him on how to guide the therapy sessions.
For example, the viewers called out Bab’ Ndabe for being somehow unfair to Musa’s third wife, Thobile MaKhumalo when he asked the wives about their contributions to the family.
He emphasised that financial input didn’t count, while his hand gesture signaled towards MaKhumalo, who is known to help out Musa sometimes.
Therefore, since Bab’ Ndabe ruled out financial contributions, viewers thought he was out to humble MaKhumalo, who recently stated that she will not be leaving her husband anytime soon.
Considering that Musa has basically picked MaKhumalo as the villain of this season, is Bab’ Ndabe simply following the “script” of downplaying her efforts in the family?

In last night’s episode, many watched yet another cringe moment of Bab’ Ndabe. As the therapy sessions are almost wrapping up, he shared his analysis of the wives, which viewers questioned because they felt he wasn’t accurate.
Another point of concern for the viewers was how Bab’ Ndabe hardly held Musa accountable for his role in the breakdown of his family.
Although Bab’ Ndabe did in fact advise Musa to learn how to “unequivocally apologise” to his wives, many still believed this alone wasn’t enough, since the issues in the family required more than that.
