Video of DJ Maphorisa’s moves on Umlando challenge goes viral

DJ Maphorisa took it to TikTok and shared his Umlando challenge video. The dance challenge has seen Mzansi men shaking what their mama gave them. Maphorisa once did the Trigger dance challenge back in January but this time around he brings something else.

The challenge has been trending on Twitter and TikTok since Twitter user Indabakabani started it. Maphorisa’s fine works have made fans dub him the best amapiano producer but he is still unproven in dancing.

He couldn’t help but laugh at himself after taking on the challenge. Indeed Maphorisa is a top DJ who makes people dance. But asking him to dance seemed to be a big task for him. The Izolo producer shook his hips from side to side before leaning against the wall.

The Umlando challenge

The challenge is from the hit single by 9umba, Toss and Mdoovar that features Sir Trill, Sino Msolo, Lady, Young Stunna and Slade. The challenge has now drawn attention across the country. Other celebrities like Lady Du, Uncle Waffles, and Dineo Ranaka joined the challenge.

Despite all the fun in the challenge, Black Coffee does not fancy it. The Grammy award winner responded to a fan who asked him when he would be back in South Africa, saying, “Not yet, will be back when the Gents are done with this twerking challenge.”
