Mzansi television presenter and radio personality Bonang Matheba took to Twitter on Sunday, 3 July seeking assistance about a woman that she said rammed into her car.
She wrote:
“This woman rammed into my car and sped off!! Please help me find her.”
Bonang said in another tweet that the woman “could’ve had some manners & waited”.
While many of the 35-year-old’s fans sympathized with her, some felt she shouldn’t have posted the woman’s number plate online.
One of the tweeps @TheBlushingMom_ said:
“You honestly didn’t have to post their registration on social media. What she did was wrong but the right thing to have done was to report it at your local police station and also your insurance company should be able to assist in tracking her.”
One of the tweeps who came to Bonang’s rescue replied to @TheBlushingMom saying:
“Post a picture of a random Yaris without showing the registration number and ask people to help you track it… brilliant idea.”
Some of the tweeps said Bonang should have just reported the matter to the police or better yet
handled it privately.
