Uncle Wafffles’ weightloss sparks a buzz on social media

A new video of Amapiano star Uncle Waffles has set social media ablaze, with many fans speculating that her sudden slim figure may be the result of using Ozempic.

The clip, shared on 17 August 2025 by @PianoConnectSA, showed the Swazi-born DJ looking noticeably slimmer than she did just weeks ago.

The post immediately fueled debates online, with many questioning how she managed to shed weight so quickly.

Some netizens pointed out the pressure celebrities often face regarding their bodies, while others directly linked her transformation to the diabetes drug-turned-weight-loss trend sweeping Hollywood.

One user, @MosesePule, wrote: “Wasn’t she chubby a few weeks ago?”

Another added: “The use of Ozempic in South African celebrities is increasing.”

Uncle Waffles has previously been dragged on social media for weight gain, and now the conversation has shifted to how she achieved her slimmed-down look.
