Uncle Waffles bags deal with Adidas

Adidas South Africa has officially welcomed eSwatini-born DJ and producer Uncle Waffles to its Lifestyle family, announcing her as one of the faces of the brand’s global Superstar: The Original campaign.

The amapiano sensation will appear alongside an impressive international roster that includes Samuel L. Jackson, Missy Elliott, JENNIE, Anthony Edwards, Mark Gonzales, and GloRilla, a line-up adidas calls its “Original Icons.”

As part of the campaign, Uncle Waffles is featured in striking black-and-white visuals rocking the Superstar sneaker in its classic colourway.

At just 25, the “Princess of Amapiano” has taken the genre from South Africa to the world stage, earning a spot in history as the first amapiano DJ to perform on a main stage at Coachella in 2023.

She has also delivered show-stopping performances at top-tier events like Cannes in 2025 and continues to pack out venues during her global tours.

Uncle Waffles commands a massive following of over six million across social media.

Her rise has earned her nods from music heavyweights such as Drake, Beyoncé, and Ciara, as well as nominations for prestigious awards, including the BET Awards and Headies.
