TRANSFER REGULATIONS
The change of the transfer regulations should be good news to Vipers, Ugandan representatives in the CAF Champions League.
Vipers advanced to the group stages of the Champions League for the first time in their history. This was after dumping out Mazembe in the round of 32.
The Ugandan side is representing East Africa in the round of 16. The two other sides from that region are El Merreikh and Al Hilal of Sudan and Simba from Tanzania.
Vipers were the surprise face in the group stages whose participants include Mamelodi Sundowns and Petro de Luanda from Angola representing Southern Africa.
Wydad Casablanca, who are the defending champions, also made it to the group stages alongside Al Ahly, Zamalek and Raja Casablanca.
