The eight group winners from the group stages, namely Bayern Munich, Benfica, Chelsea, Manchester City, Napoli, Porto, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur were praised with the runners-ups Club Brugge, Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt, Inter, RB Leipzig, Liverpool, Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.
No side from the same country was allowed to face each other and no teams from the same group could be drawn against each other.
Last year’s finalists Liverpool and Real Madrid will meet each other already in the round of 16 this time around.
Meanwhile, French giants Paris Saint-Germain will meet Bundesliga record winners Bayern Munich in a replay of the 2019/20 final.

The ties will be played over two legs, but the away goal rule has fallen away.
The first legs are scheduled for 14/15/21/22 February, with the second legs on 7/8/14/15 March. Kick-offs are at 21:00 CET.
