Uber launched its ‘Safari’ rides in Cape Town as part of their ‘Go Anywhere’ deals on 1 October.

You can book a day trip to see the Big Five (lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos) at Aquila Private Game Reserve, located about two hours from Cape Town.

The service is available from 1 October to 1 February on Fridays and Saturdays, costing R3,500 for up to four people.

“We want to help people easily enjoy amazing adventures,” said Frans Hiemstra, Uber’s regional manager, on the company’s website.

The deal includes pickup in Cape Town in an Uber Safari car, a welcome drink and lunch at Aquila, a game drive with expert guides, and time to explore Aquila’s grounds before returning to Cape Town.

Johan van Schalkwyk from Aquila added, “It’s a great way for people to see wildlife and support conservation.”

Bookings can be made through the ‘Uber Safari’ icon on the Uber app, where a pickup date and location can be reserved.
