Tyla Joins Roc Nation as South African Star Eyes Even Bigger Global Success

South African music sensation Tyla has officially signed with Roc Nation, the global entertainment company founded by rap icon and business mogul Jay-Z, in what is being hailed as one of the biggest moves of her career.

The announcement comes just weeks before the Grammy Award winner releases her highly anticipated second studio album, APOP*, on 24 July, positioning her for an even greater international push.

Founded in 2008 by Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, Roc Nation has grown into one of the world’s most influential entertainment companies. While it began as a record label, it has since evolved into a full-service agency that manages musicians, athletes, producers and entertainers. The company provides artist management, music publishing, touring, branding, film and television production, marketing, and business development, helping artists build long-term global careers beyond music alone.

Its roster includes some of the entertainment industry’s biggest names, including Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, J Balvin, DJ Khaled, and Nigerian superstar Tiwa Savage. Roc Nation has earned a reputation for helping artists expand their brands through strategic partnerships, business ventures and worldwide touring opportunities.

For Tyla, whose breakout hit Water introduced her amapiano-inspired sound to millions around the world, the partnership represents another significant milestone. The Johannesburg-born singer has become one of South Africa’s most successful musical exports, collecting a Grammy Award and performing on some of the world’s biggest stages in just a few years.

Although the financial details of the agreement have not been disclosed, industry analysts believe the move could open even more doors as Tyla continues to establish herself as a global pop force.

As she prepares to unveil APOP*, Tyla’s partnership with Roc Nation signals that her ambitions extend far beyond chart success, reinforcing South Africa’s growing influence on the international music industry.
