With just a few weeks before the 2026 FIFA World Cup begins, South African singer Tyla and American rapper Future are here to remind everyone that the heat is about to be turned all the way up. Game Time, the musicians’ World Cup collaboration song, was announced yesterday and is due to drop tomorrow, May 29th.

Tyla and Future collab for FIFA World Cup

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) officially announced that the pair’s new single is part of the official soundtrack for the much-awaited international tournament.

The announcement comes as anticipation around the tournament continues to grow, with soccer and music slowly becoming one giant pop culture moment ahead of kick-off next month.

This is the perfect timing, as Tyla has already been confirmed for FIFA’s World Cup opening ceremony entertainment lineup alongside popular, award-winning names like Katy Perry, LISA, Rema and Anitta.

For our girl Tyla, this is another major career leap, especially since her album, A*POP, is scheduled to drop in July.

Social posts teasing the track describe it as “Atlanta trap meets South African flavour,” with many predicting it could dominate clubs, TikTok, and stadium playlists ahead of kickoff.

One social media user commented, “Future and Tyla linking for a World Cup track is random but fire man. Tyla’s been on a run, and Future’s voice fits that energy perfectly. This could actually be the one everybody blasts during the tournament. Dropping Friday is smart timing too, hope it hits like the old school anthems.”

The 2026 FIFA World Cup’s soundtrack is clearly leaning heavily into global collaborations this year, bringing together artists from around the world.
