Mamelodi Sundowns duo Aubrey Modiba and Surprise Ralani were named in the CAF Champions League Team of the Week after their fine performances against Al Merrikh.
Modiba assisted George Maluleka’s 1-0 opener and helped Masandawana to keep their fifth clean sheet in their sixth group stages game.
Ralani, meanwhile, scored Masandawana’s second goal and set up Kermit Erasmus’ third, helping his side to a comfortable 3-0 win.
Downs are one of three teams with two representatives in the CAFCL Team of the Week, the others being Wydad Casablanca after their 5-1 thumping over Petro de Luanda, and Al Ahly following their narrow 1-0 win against Al Hilal.
